GIVING TUESDAY / PROJECT NIGHT NIGHT

Giving Tuesday

As a business that sells something, I get inundated with tips for making the most of holiday sales, and especially, Thanksgiving week. There’s Black Friday (and now, the Black Friday pre-sale), Small Business Saturday, Cyber Monday and Giving Tuesday. I struggle with what to do for the first few to remind you that the slippers truly make perfect gifts, while not being pushy or supporting the over-emphasis of “stuff” that I get worked up about (ask my extended family about the rules I attempt to impose about gifts for my kids). But Giving Tuesday? Now that’s an easy one.

This year, for all purchases made on BOTH Cyber Monday and Giving Tuesday, I’ll donate 10% of sales to Project Night Night

 Project Night Night

Project Night Night helps to ease the anxiety of homeless children across the country by providing them with a Night Night package that includes an age-appropriate book, a baby blanket which can be cuddled, and a stuffed animal which can become a cherished friend. Finding comfort is vitally important for children in order to feel secure, loved, and valued – even in the midst of the upheaval and uncertainty attendant to homelessness - and their packages provide that comfort. Their mission is to provide free Night Night Packages to homeless children from birth to pre-teen who need their childhood essentials to have a concrete and predictable source of security and increased exposure to high-quality literacy materials during this time of upheaval.

As my design focuses on the way simple comforts of home can make you feel, on this Giving Tuesday, I want help bring comforts to those without the home.

Please join me in supporting this worthy organization, either by making your slipper purchases on Monday or Tuesday (Dec. 2nd and 3rd) or by donating to them directly here.
