So much of my design inspiration comes from things that I learn about day-to-day life in other cultures, and eating is a natural part of that. As a bonus with Mother's Day purchases (for the purchaser and the recipient), I've put together a little collection of recipes that will give you ideas for Mother's Day brunch—whether you're doing the cooking or you're pawning it off on someone else for a change.
I chose recipes that give a nod to other cultures, but won't turn your brunch into a theme. As I was researching ideas to include, I discovered an upcoming book dedicated to the very idea of breakfast around the world—Breakfast: The Cookbook by Emily Elyse Miller. I can't wait for it. I was lucky enough to get one of the recipes from it and it's a fun one. I've also included a recipe from Basque Country by Marti Buckley, and a few others from L.A. based chefs (including a kid!).
Here's a sneak peak of the yummy Lemon Bostock recipe by my friend Kat Rendazzo, created just for you.
