I recently came across the most sentimental charm bracelet of my mother's. My grandmother had gold charms made for numerous life events to add onto it—starting with her birth certificate, later her "sweet 16," being secretary of her senior class, through representations of her college sorority and graduation. It is an incredibly sentimental treasure to have found after my mother passed away, and then my grandmother shortly after. It touched both of their hands in a meaningful way. 

As much as I love this bracelet and everything it represents, truth be told, I wouldn't wear a charm bracelet.
